I’ve been a fan of Thrice ever since I heard ‘Pheonix Ignition‘ and ‘In Years To Come‘ in Paul McQuillan’s basement back in high school. Flash forward seven-ish years to a time when I haven’t talked to Paul McQuillan in years and have developed an obsession with vinyl.
It was at the beginning stages of my love for vinyl collecting when Thrice announced a pre-order for a limited vinyl pressing of their 4xEP collection The Alchemy Index. Each EP would be pressed on coloured 10″ vinyl, each coloured to fit the theme of each record. (Fire = red, Water = blue, Earth = brown, Air = clear). The collection is said to be limited to a pressing of 2000 and hand made.
A few months and a few release dates later and Thrice have finally released a few pictures of the collection via their Twitter account, and I am very, very excited.
Judging by the looks of these pics, it will be well worth the wait. I can’t wait until this arrives at my door step.
Once I recieve it I’m sure I’ll write more about it.
Thanks to the band for taking the time to release collections the fans can enjoy. Not just this, but each special edition release of the past few records including behind the scenes info on the songs and the recording process. Much appreciated, can’t wait for the new album!
